Kathrine Iacono's father was a wrestling coach for 40 years in the state of New Jersey, and wrestling has played a significant role in her life. In considering the many manifestations of movement, and its expression in human interactions, she naturally gravitated to the sport, in which movement is as distilled and focused as anything the dance world has to offer. Her new work explores character, sport, human relationships and her own history.
