How To Get Here

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at Maryland is easy to visit. We are conveniently located at the corner of Route 193 (University Blvd.) and Stadium Drive on the campus of the University of Maryland. A Mapquest map and driving directions are linked below.

Parking

Stadium Drive Parking Garage: For your convenience, there is an 800-car parking garage right across the street from our front door, and a convenient drop-off driveway in front of the Center. Parking in the garage is $2/hour, with a maximum charge of $10.

Lot 1B: There is also a large open lot (Lot 1B) beyond the parking garage, free to the public after 4 PM and on weekends.

Public Transportation

The University is served by Metro's green line; the nearest station stop is College Park-University of Maryland.

Taxi: The most reliable method of getting from Metro to the Center is by taxi. There is a taxi stand at the Metro Station (see Google map below) and after the performance you can ask a House Manager to call a taxi to take you back to Metro.

UM Bus 104: The University also operates a shuttle bus (UM 104) between the Metro and Stamp Student Union, which is a half-mile walk from the Center (see Google map below); however, shuttle service is available only when the university is in session. Unless you are familiar with the university's schedule and the shuttle route, this is not the recommended method.

Please call our ticket office at 301.405.ARTS if you need further assistance.
