Musical Selection

Grace Eun Hae Kim began her piano studies at the age of four and gave her first recital at six. A recipient of the Korean-American Scholarship Foundation, she has won first prizes in the Russell C. Wonderlic Competition, State MTNA-Baldwin Competition, Marcia Lehmberg Concerto Competition and Juilliard Preparatory Gina Bachauer Scholarship Competition. Other accolades include top prizes in the New Jersey Young Artists Competition, Iowa Piano Competition and the Corpus Christi Young Artist Piano Competition. Ms. Kim has performed in such venues as Alice Tully Hall, Juilliard Theater, Kennedy Center, Kosciuszko Foundation Recital Hall and Steinway Hall. She has performed with the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra, Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, Cherokee Symphony Orchestra and New Millennium Festival Orchestra. Ms. Kim has attended the Aspen Music Festival as a New Horizon Fellow, Banff Center for the Arts, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Millennium Piano Festival and Pianofest. She has played in master classes for Leon Fleisher, Nelita True and Emma Tahmizian. She has on several occasions worked with Marc Durand, Veda Kaplinsky, Yong Hi Moon, Robert McDonald, Paul Schenly, Arie Vardi and Dominique Weber. She has collaborated with the New Juilliard Ensemble in giving U.S. world premieres and was awarded the Van Cliburn Alumni Scholarship during her studies at The Juilliard School, where she received her bachelor of music and master of music degrees. Ms. Kim has studied with Julian Martin and Herbert Stessin. She is currently a doctoral student at The Peabody Conservatory, studying with Boris Slutsky.
